Shorkie Colors
When a Shorkie puppy starts out looking like a Yorkie when it's a baby, that means that the
Shorkie will change colors. they have the prominent color genes of Blue and Silver.
It could and change to silvery blue colors, with tan head and legs by the first year of his life.
Most shorkies are born brown with black and white markings. As they grow the brown turns blonde.
Why I give NuVet Vitamins to my dogs and Puppies
Our Shorkies are Born with an enhanced immune system. Not only because of
"Hybrid Vigor", but because we give NuVet vitamins to our Mothers, while they are
pregnant and nursing their puppies. We give our puppies the best start in life
We also wean our Shorkie puppies with NuVet vitamins to help reduce stress, so our
Families will receive a puppy that they can be well assured it will be exceptional.
They are healthy and have received the best of preventative well-puppy care.
Each Shorkie puppy will be current on all vaccinations, with dewclaws removed.
Our Shorkies have 6 and 8 weeks shots. We worm with safeguard at 2, 4, 6, and 8
weeks of which treats for round worm, hook worm ,whip worm and Guardia!
We use revolution which prevents ear mites, mange mites, ticks, and fleas.

Grooming
Shorkie puppies need more than average grooming. If you let their hair grow
out you will need to brush them daily. Therefore for ease of care it is
best to give them puppy cuts about every 6 - 8 weeks.
Walking Your Shorkie puppy
When you bring your Shorkie puppy home your do not take him for a walk.
Your Shorkie puppy must not walk where other people have walked, or other dogs have walked.
You can take him out in the back yard. Hopefully you will have a fenced in yard that will protect your new
Shorkie puppy from predators and other dogs. The reason you don't take your Shorkie puppy out side
your yard is you need to finish his puppy shots before you take him for a walk.
When you do this your protecting the life of that cute new Shorkie that is
yours to cherish as long as he lives. He will be protected against many life threatening diseases.
This is why we suggest the play pen care method untill he finishes his shots.
Besides this you will find that he loves his new home in his new playpen.
